Chris Drury - You broke my heart

Drury has been my heartbreak.... for so many reasons.

Forget the lack of goal scoring, i never expected above 25 to be honest. 30 was tops, and that was icing on the cake.

But , he kills me .. he doesn't find the open areas, 90% of the time, hes not driving to the net with purpose, he lost his soft hands.

You never hear once about how hard he works off the ice and how he makes his teammates better around him. That's ALL you heard about his stints at his previous stops.

You don't see the take charge personality he displayed in Buffalo. You don't see him showing any emotion. I'm not advocating breaking a stick over the knee... but go out there and drill an opposing player. Drop the gloves, even if you will get your ass beat. Score a big goal.

Hell, a good start would be staying out for the full warm up. It use to drive me INSANE watching Jags skate in pre-game for 5 out of the 15 mins, and never take one shot on net. I know its not a big deal, but it really upset me for some reason, especially when he was struggling.

Win or Loss, i just wanna see the team Gel like they say they do in the locker-room. I wanna hear how on off day skates, Drury is bringing Dubi, Cally, Dawes, Korpedo and Prucha in and working with them. I wanna hear him show some emotion in a post game interview, instead of the rhetoric " blame me " crap. SHOW ME YOU CARE, and you will be rewarded with cheers by the garden faithful no matter how much you struggle.

We like blue collar, hard working, bring your lunch pail, roll your sleeve up type of guys here. You work hard, You play hard, You battle hard, and even if you lose, the Garden Faithful will shower you with cheers.

That team coming out of the lockout, in what was the final game of a sweep vs the Devils, got a 3 minute standing ovation, even though we were embarrassed by a rival, and struggled down the stretch that year.

But we knew they left it all on the ice, We knew, we were hurt, we were depleted , and we were still giving max effort, and for that, you would have thought we were sweeping the devils.

Jagr heard MVP from January on. In what was his final game at the Garden, the fans recognized that in Game 4, and gave Jagr a long standing ovation for his efforts as a Ranger.

Avery came here, and immediately brought the attitude we love, so the Avery Chants started. Shanny would get in the mix, SHANNY!, Cally would do it, CALLY!....Henrik is adored cause of his worth ethic and results hes proven. Even Valli has gotten the garden faithful to its feet.

We've accepted the whole cup every 54 yrs... but for all that is holy boys, WORK HARD! Make us proud! Show emotion the way the fans do.
