Even Superman had kryponite. The Rangers kryponite happens to be the Bell Center. And so begins a match up, pitting two teams with 80 pts a piece.
Both teams are struggling. Both teams expected to competed for the Eastern Conference Title, not a 8th seed. Both teams leading point getting is sitting around the 50 pt mark. Both teams have recently ousted their Head Coach in search of salvaging in the season.
With a win tomorrow night, the Rangers could move into 5th place. The Habs are struggling big time. Bob Gainey has stepped behind the bench to motivate Les Habs in their centential season. The Habs have mucho pressure and are running out of time to find their game.
Played on neutral ground, you could even make a case for the Rangers to be the favorite. But my dear friends, this is not neutral territory, this Les Habsville. This is a place where the Rangers falter. This is a place where they play some of their worse hockey.
Having played twice already the season, the Rangers spot an impressive 0-2 record, losing by a combined score of 12-5.
If the Rangers want to be considered a playoff team, then they MUST win this game. They MUST show each other then can win in this house of horrors.
This is gonna be a big game for us - If we can pull this out in MTL - i like our chances of making the postseason.
