Game 1 goes to the Good Guys

"It was unfortunate for us," Green said. "They got some lucky shots."

Really Mikey? Lucky Shots? Did you attend the same game the rest of the world watched? Cause, I gotta be honest Mikey - your way off base here.

And, lets say they were "lucky shots" - whats that say about Jose Threeormore.

Folks, I've rode the Rangers hard this season. Ive been all over them for many things. From Management on down, no one was spared.

Tonight, is not one of those nights. The Heroes from Broadway where sensational all night long. While, they stumbled out of the gate, it was no doubt due to the Refs tripping their feet from the start.

How do you make such a petty call 10 seconds into a playoff game?

The first period, the Caps were flying, but the Rangers played rope a dope with them. Taking their best shots, and standing firm. Henrik Lundqvuist was unconscious all night. Hank made some crazy saves.

None being more important that the skate save after Fleishcmans PP goal, on another shaky call by the zebras. Shortly after, Gomez scored to knot it 1-1, when it could have easily been a 2-0 deficit. Before you knew it, it became 3-1, and things were looking solid going into the third period.

The Blueshirts DOMINATED the 2nd period , well 19:30 seconds of it.

Then, the third period opens, and BOOM, another Caps goal, and the 3-1 lead was no more. Credit the Rangers here folks. For this team many times in the past, this team had folded when adversity hit. Not tonight, not on the road, not in the playoffs.

Brandon Dubinsky, which, could very well be his stepping stone into the upper echelon of players, made a silly move around Schultz, and lasered a shot past Jose Threeormore.

Then, much like all night, the Bodies hit the Floor. Blocking shots, sacrificing their bodies to move the puck, staying disclipined. It was quite the sight, and one that hasn't been the norm on the season.

But if the Rangers are ready to play their best hockey now, then we are in for a fun ride.
