So it has be written, So it shall be told... Rangers vs the Washington Ovechkins

Now, the waiting is over, the New York Rangers have not only clinched the playoff berth ( done on Thursday when Hank beat the Phility Flyers ), but we now know we will be squaring off vs the Washington Ovechkins.

The last time the Rangers played the Capitals in the playoffs, was 1994, in the second round of the playoffs, where the Rangers took the series 4-1. In true dominating fashion nonetheless.

This time, it will be different, as the Capitals are the # 2 seed. They are LOADED with offensive talent. Besides Alexander the Great, they have Alex 2 - otherwise known as Alex Semin. On the blue line, they have All-Star Mike Green, who has more goals then any current Ranger. ( again, Green is a defenseman )

But they are a flawed team. Goaltending and a swiss cheese defense is a major concern ( Tom Poti is on the blue line for them ).

What does this all mean? Well - means the Rangers for one round at least, escaped the machine known as the Bruins.

We will be back before the playoffs with a detailed breakdown of this matchup. For now, Happy Easter and Passover everyone.
